Go Camilo Go!

Today I wanna share something very very important with you.
His name is Camilo!
He is the cutest baby I've ever seen. He's a special baby, you can see it in his beautiful eyes.
Every day I fall in love more with him. He keeps his smile against all odds, the thing touches me more is that in all the situations he has nothing but smiles... smiles all the time!
Here's his story:

On January 30, 2013, Camilo was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) also referred to as "half a heart". At just 6 days old Camilo had his first open heart surgery and went on to have his 2nd and 3rd open heart surgeries at the age of 8 months. His recovery for all his surgeries had it's ups and downs and resulted in longer than normal hospital stays. We are so happy that to this day Camilo is thriving! He continues to meet his milestones through continued physical and occupational therapies. He is continuing to gain weight and strength for his next open heart surgery. Through this process we have been covered with lots of love and prayers and have been blessed with an amazing support system. Caring for a child with special needs and continuing to give him the best care can be a financial struggle. With hospital bills, medications, therapies and co-pays things can add up. We have been contacted many times on how you can help. If you like to donate and help with the extra medical expenses, any amount counts! Thank you Heart family for being there with us on this journey! We couldn't do it without you!

If you need more information on the HLHS check:

1 out of 10,000 babies are born with HLHS (half a heart).

God bless you sweet baby boy.. you're a miracle!

Nude Make Up

A me non piace!
Questo finto Nude Make up non mi piace proprio!

*******

I don't like it!
I don't like that kind of fake Nude Make up!
Above all the lips, they're not natural (how they pretend to be), but they're a kind of corpse color, they're the same color of the sking, because makeup artists use to cover them with foundation and powder............. terrible!
Ok for fresh and natural faces, but to that fake nude makeup look I'd rather prefer no make up indeed!

What is the only one thing I can't do without? The mascara!

How about you? Do you like that trend?

The Journey

Charles Baudelaire

But the true travellers are they who depart
For departing's sake; with hearts light as balloons,
They never swerve from their destinies,
Saying continuously, without knowing why: 'Let us go on!'

These have passions formed like clouds;
As a recruit of his gun, they dream
Of spacious pleasures, transient, little understood,
Whose name no human spirit knows.

Charles Baudelaire

Turn Back Time... ♥

Il tempo passa troppo in fretta...
E' già un anno che non ci sei più.....
esattamente un anno fa, quella maledetta sera, quella maledetta pioggia, quel maledetto incidente...
Voglio ricordarti così, sorridente...

Friend or foe ?

*******

"Friends" (no the one from the famous show)
Friends are a "good invention"..... when everything is ok...
I am not that one with a million of friends, they are acquaitances for me...
true friends are not many, but with them you feel at home and with whom just few words are enough to undestand the whole speech.
Unfortunately in every one life bad things happen, and what do you expect is that your friends make you feel their presence in any way they know... and on the other hand you are sadly upset!
Sure, an exception made for who currently is by my side...
but for who isn't there....stay where you are.... it's better for me, I feel better that way.
I'm tired of being present everytime and for everybody.... it's time to change now! Sorry!

There's no place like London!

London: always worth a visit!
I'm unconditionally and irrevocably in love with that city!
I feel I'm on the top of the world when I'm there. Love every single place, Covent Garden is my special one.
I cannot really express what my feelings are, but happiness is the closer.

Love London as a part of my life
(the best of it!)

Saving Mr Banks

Ecco i suggerimenti:

  1. Scegliere il tè.
  2. Far bollire l'acqua.
  3. Mettere l'acqua calda nella teiera.
  4. Lasciare il tè in infusione (nella teiera)
  5. Aggiungere il latte che si desidera.
  6. Versare il tè.
  7. Zuccherare a piacere.
  8. Sorseggiare e goderselo lentamente.

I was waiting for it from December... and the moment has arrived!
I've watched Saving Mr Banks and I've been completely enchanted.
A magnificent Emma Thompson, playing the role of Mrs P.L. Travers, and a brilliant Tom Hanks, playing the role of Walt Disney.
I couldn't imagine what was behind the scenes of Mary Poppins' Story. I've watched the movie/musical thousand times when I was a child, it's funny as I thought of "that a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down..." when I had to get some medicine. Mary Poppins has been a companion in my childhood as in other children's childhood, we must say thank you to Mr Walt Disney for doing that, for being so human getting the copyright.
I liked it so much. I recommend you to watch it!
You will learn how to make a proper cup of tea as well! ;)

Here's the steps to follow:

  1. Choose the tea.
  2. Boil the water.
  3. Run warm water over the tea pot.
  4. Steep the tea in the pot.
  5. Add desired milk.
  6. Pour the tea.
  7. Add sugar to taste.
  8. Sip and enjoy slowly.

The Great Beauty

*******

I don't wanna be a kind of movie critic, as the whole Italy is doing, but I just wanna give my own opinion on the film like I did for The Wolf of Wall Street.

Our beautiful Rome on the background, that does not need any film for being gush over obviously, but I think it is a wonderful framework.
It's clear, not because the movie won the Oscar as best foreign language film you have to like it.
I liked it, because I found it as the right representation of our current society, empty, that is looking for the "great beauty"... that is not that far from us. We, as Italians get the "great beauty" in Art, Culture and why not? In our food as well. And if a former writer, in that case Jep Gambardella, cannot write again or maybe he decides to stop writing that's exactly why he hasn't the inspiration anymore, he's living an empty life, a life full of parties, friends we cannot judge how they're honest, a life for the appearence and wordliness.
In my humble opinion, the best scenes are two:
- the one in which Jep is talking with his governess, during one of the party at his home, and she asks him why he has stopped writing, and he says something like that: "do you see what my life is? It's nothing! I cannot write about nothing, nor even Flaubert managed to it..." in the meantime before him, his friend are doing a funny conga.
- the one of the funeral, or better sayin' the one in which Ramona is chosing the dress for Viola's son funeral, Jep considers the funeral the main wordliness event, and there's his own philosophy about the funerals.

Jep embodies the nowadays disenchanted man, who has wasted his life a little bit and the climax is represented by the coming back to his roots in the final scene.

Who,  among us,  hasn't ever feel the same as Jep Gambardella?

And the winners are.....................

Comunque.... Complimenti a tutti!

******

And another Oscar Night goes by.
What have we seen during that night?
The most beautiful Selfie of the selfie's story :), the pizza time, Brand eating pizza with no shame >.<
Sorrentino saying thanks to Maradona (-.-'), Leo kissing Matthew (best moment for me), even if I was a Leo's supporter... :( there's an interesting article on Vanity Fair, that claims why don't the cool actors win the Oscar.... that is the theory why Leo wouldn't win it. here
Anyway... Congrats everyone!
